Good Chinese food with a wide selection. We had General Tso's, beef and snow pea pods, special lo mein, shrimp and lobster sauce, and crab rangoons. The General Tso's was a little over cooked but the sauce wasn't as gooey as you'll find at other "American" Chinese places. The vegetables were crisp and everything was generally very good. We'll definitely stop back to try some other selections.

I tried this for the first time today. I had spicy Beef and an order of Pot stickers. Both were average quality.

Great food! Great service! Good prices! Anyone who lives in the area should stop by, they'll never go anywhere else for Chinese food. Well be back that's for sure :-)

This is a reliably good (not great) place to get Chinese food. I usually get sweet-n-sour shrimp with chicken fried rice, which is big ol' battered shrimps that look like donuts. The sauce is good, but seems to missing the typical s-n-s veggies. My last order had exactly one piece of pineapple, no green pepper, tomato, or onion. The chicken in the fried rice is white meat but not really seasoned. They have a good variety of vegetarian offerings. The egg rolls are meh. The smoothies are made with the freshest of fruit and you can get tapioca for a bubble-tea type drink. The ambience is pretty crappy and the staff is okay. I wish they had sweet-n-sour packets instead of the odd "duck sauce" packets.

This is strictly a take-out type place for me because the restaurant decor is pretty dated and did not seem all that clean. However, food wise this is probably one of the better Chinese places up in Northern Lake County. Like most Chinese places outside of Chinatown, they have a mixed menu of Cantonese and Mandarin dishes. We tried a number of dishes including the Singapore Rice Noodle (a Cantonese favorite quite hard to get right especially if the restaurant doesn't have genuine bbq pork and the right mix of curry powder), General Tso's Chicken and Pot Stickers...three standard fares one can use to gauge the quality of food. I'm happy to report that, while the Singapore Noodles was not perfect like "Wonton Express" down in Riverwoods on Milwaukee, it was very decent and the General Tso's Chicken was quite delicious. The egg roll however was not worth the calories, but their Shrimp with Peapods was very nice. This place has become our standard in the hinterlands...for now.

I've tried a couple of the places in the area and hands down keep coming back to this one. I find the food to always be delicious. The egg-rolls are okay, crab ragoon are good. Not crazy about there pot stickers. I like the pot sticker to have a thinner skin. Just had there vegetable fried rice and chicken chow-mein is always on point!

Since moving up to the area, we've been looking for a good Chinese place. We have found it between this place and Red Sun in Lindenhurst. Now, I've had Sweet and Sour Chicken from here which is so good, but I do not like their beef fried rice. For some reason it's quite mushy and leaves a filmy residue in your mouth. Their Crab Ragoon is so good and you get about 8 in there for the price. This place has good Chinese food for the prices.

Ok. Based on Corins' review, I gave this place a try. We ordered: 1. Mongolian Chicken 2. Mongolian Beef 3. Chicken Chow Mein ALL three dishes were perfect! The vegetables were fresh, the rice was excellent and the spices/sauces were great! The egg rolls were slightly bland (I can hardly tell, as I smother mine in hot mustard and sweet/sour sauce!), but the pot stickers were as they should be! I'm glad I tried this place and, needless to say, will be ordering again from this new establishment! HIGHLY ENDORSE!

Great Chinese food and a friendly staff makes this a winner to us. Worth the drive from Antioch to Round Lake.

After moving from the city to the suburbs, my boyfriend and I were trying to find a new Chinese place that wouldn't make us feel sick after eating it. After trying several places that were too greasy or had too much MSG and sodium, our friend who lives in the area took us to Long Feng. While this isn't the best Chinese I've had, this place is really good! Low sodium, no MSG, barely any grease. The Mongolian Beef is my favorite! It has alot of onions so I usually ask for less onions. The Steamed chicken and vegetables is good too. My boyfriend has had the Kung Pao combo (chicken and shrimp) and he likes it alot. Very good!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
